Yookoso Sushi on Rue Malar or Toyotaka on Rue Saint-Dominique are my go-to lunch restaurants. The sushi is great and they have a great choice of menus. They are nice spots to have lunch on a cold day, or on those warm summer days, to grab lunch to go and enjoy sushi by the Seine.
The Jardin du Palais-Royal in the 1st arrondissement is a must see. Everyone should take a stroll through this hidden seventeenth-century park, which is surrounded by boutiques and restaurants. It’s the perfect place to have a picnic, read a book, or sit and enjoy the beautiful cherry blossom trees there. It’s also near the Comédie française, so if you like French theatre, it’s worth stopping in there to see a play too.
Studying abroad can be a life-changing experience, so seize the opportunity and make the most of it. Don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone and try new things. Living and studying abroad, you’ll learn so much both inside and outside the classroom; you’ll meet lifelong friends from all over; you’ll explore new places, discover new cultures, and learn a new language maybe; and most of all, you’ll see that you can do anything you put your mind to.
‘Franchement’, which means honestly or seriously. It’s a common word that you’ll hear lots in conversations here.
