The 2026 meeting of European Seminars in Philosophy of Education will take place at the American University of Paris on June 4–5, 2026. The seminar will explore the theme “Fragile Futures: Technology, Responsibility and the Idea of Education”.

In an era increasingly shaped by rapid technological change, the seminar seeks to examine how new technologies—particularly artificial intelligence—transform educational practices, relationships, and institutions. Contributions are invited that engage with the ethical, political, and philosophical questions arising from these developments, including issues of responsibility, educational justice, moral and democratic education, and the changing role of teachers and learners in a world increasingly dominated by new technologies.
