Welcome to the Spring 2024 edition of the IT Service Department newsletter!
This newsletter aims to keep you informed about the latest in technology services, updates, and resources tailored to enhance your academic and professional experiences.
Fall 2023 Achievements
This last semester, our double priority was to enhance our overall security and to provide more modern and well-documented services. To reach this objective we have:
- Introduced a new and enhanced IT Service Web-Page including a new Service Catalog
- Edited Video Tutorials and Trainings (Mainly on Wi-Fi and Security)
- Updated and deployed more Microsoft 365 services
- Renewed computers & upgraded Classroom Technology
- Replaced and fine-tuned our Wi-Fi Infrastructure
- Introduced tools for Security & Compliance (M365 Defender & Purview)
- Updated campus IT Policies
- Finished replacing Employee Devices
What's coming for Spring 2024
For Spring 2024, we will focus on the following projects:
- More enhancements to our Service Catalog
- Video Tutorials & toolkits in partnership with other departments.
- Windows 11 Deployment
- Introduction of our new business tools (Finance, HR, Procurement, Student and Faculty) to users
- Cybersecurity Training Approval and Distribution to staff & faculty
- MFA Implementation for VPN Users
- And many other, “smaller” projects…
