AUP Launches New Logo

The American University of Paris is proud to reveal its new logo designed to represent the University’s rising profile and global reach as we move forward, as a community, into an exciting future.

Throughout a collaborative creative process, committees consisting of students, faculty, staff, alumni and the AUP Leadership Team, as well as communications professionals, college counselors and employers, offered their insights into what makes AUP unique. The design team used this feedback to build up a picture of several key aspects of an AUP education: the notion of individual pathways through higher education, the transformative nature of AUP's unique curriculum, and the feeling of convergence inherent in studying at a meeting place of perspectives, disciplines and cultures.

The resulting logo incorporates these concepts into a bold new monogram, designed to carry the University into an exciting future – one in which it is ever closer to its goal of becoming the premier American international institution of higher learning in Europe. The logo aims to be a long-term solution to the University’s branding needs. Its flexible design exists in three-, two- and one-line versions, as well as a standalone monogram.

The logo is launching in time for AUP’s 60th-anniversary year, and as such AUP also developed a special anniversary edition of the design. This additional version allows AUP to commemorate six decades of liberal arts learning on the banks of the Seine throughout the coming academic year, without losing sight of the long-term goals of the University.
