Student Media

One of the University’s largest student-run organizations, AUP Student Media (ASM) is the epicenter of AUP’s multicultural urban campus, connecting students, academic departments, alumni, and the world. We’re dedicated to bringing interesting content and professional publication opportunities to the AUP community while exploring and creating innovative media outlets.

The Student Media Center

ASM uses the Thamer Salman student media center in the Combes building, where students work in a state-of-the-art newsroom and video production studio creating content for online, print, and digital media. Guided by knowledgeable faculty members, students take on leadership roles and gain real world newsroom experience, building their careers as future journalists. ASM is open to all students regardless of prior media experience.

The Platforms

ASM leads the Peacock Plume, which encompasses three platforms: Peacock Magazine, the Plume, and Peacock Play. Student journalists are dedicated to producing high quality content while connecting students, academic departments, alumni, and the world.

Peacock Magazine

The Plume
