This February AUP is celebrating Black History Month with an excellent line-up of guest speakers and events! Join us for the first event of this incredible program for "A Film Screening of "La Ligne de Couleur" and a Discussion with Filmmaker Laurence Petit-Jouvet." This film explores what it means to be perceived as "non-white" in France. This event is sponsored by AUP's Film Studies Department and professor Marie Regan will be conducting the Q & A session.
Laurence Petit-Jouvet is an author, director, producer and distributor. She has studied in Paris, New York and los Angeles, working for WNBC and Europe 1. Since 1989 she has written, produced and distributed her documentaries on topics that discuss cultural migration, singular identity, exile and otherness.
