Student
I was born in Roswell, New Mexico, but raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico. I remained there until I was 21 years old, completing undergraduate degrees in psychology and French at New Mexico State University. I then moved to Paris to work as an au pair and develop my French language skills further.
The MSc in International Management and the Paris location were the two major influencers on my decision to apply to AUP. The Sustainability Systems Track offers exactly what I was looking and will provide me with a valuable education for whatever I decide to do. I was drawn to the small program size and the interdisciplinary opportunities that allow students to take courses from other programs. The fact that AUP is in Paris means that I have been able to remain in France and continue to use my French language skills. When I am not working, I spend my time constantly exploring the city or with my friends in museums, cafes or one of the many beautiful gardens or parks. Not only is this an amazing place with a great deal to offer, but it is an easy city to travel from. Exploring the world has become much simpler and more affordable.
The close network of students and professors helps tremendously with my motivation to succeed
AUP has opened doors to new possibilities within the international management field. It has helped me to continue to follow my passions while applying what I have learned from the program. I am learning so much and developing a great work ethic, which I am certain will aid me in any future endeavors. The close network of students and professors helps tremendously with my motivation to succeed and has made the intense coursework easier to manage.
Paris is an incredible city and the thought of studying anywhere else seems absurd. I have a host family that I have been with for over two years, but I would want to remain and study in Paris even if that wasn’t the case. There's nothing like the French culture and language, and Paris is a vibrant and lively city full of history.
